Details
This is a rather unique number, with a bit of bottle age it is starting to show some intriguing 'secondary' characters such as bruised apples and nuts. Still with bright acidity, lovely salinity, this wine displays a fabulous sharp sherbet lemon accent and plenty of tang to get the tastebuds fizzing!

Nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley, Domaine des Huards has been crafting exquisite wines since 1846. Its story is steeped in tradition, passed down through seven generations of family vignerons. Much like their wines, the story of Domaine des Huards is a blend of history and innovation. The winery has been committed to organic and biodynamic practices since 1998, treating the vines with the utmost respect. The vineyard is a mosaic of diverse soils, each lending a unique character to their wines, from mineral-rich flint to clay-limestone. Each bottle is a celebration of the winery's rich heritage, the unique terroir of the Loire Valley, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Domaine des Huards is a specialist in the rare Romorantin grape variety that is waning in popularity in the shadow of Sauvignon Blanc, for which the eastern Loire is much better known.

Pairing guide
Decadent, delightful, and bursting with layer upon layer of freshness and flavour, this white wine is the ideal pairing for light lunches and brunches shared with friends. Smoked salmon and avocado combos will hit the high notes, and it’s also a great option for old-school fine dining classics, such as lobster thermidor, dressed crab, and a fillet of cod with braised cabbage. Pork fillets, stuffed chicken breast, and a fresh and enticing Caesar salad will also work wonders with this wine, as will creamier Thai curries and buttery pasta dishes, too.
