Details
The ‘Tradition’ is a classic Blanquette de Limoux, sourced from Mauzac and Chenin Blanc. It is fresh and crisp with green apple and zesty lemon, along with lifted white floral notes. It is lively and utterly refreshing, perfect for any occasion.
Domaine Delmas is a Good Pair Days exclusive. After searching for a delicious local bottle of fizz, our wine buyer visited a quaint bottle shop in Narbonne, where they discovered this gem. The winery focuses on the iconic sparkling wines from this region, including Blanquette de Limoux and Crémant de Limoux, while also producing a selection of still wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The estate was founded by Joseph Delmas in the 1920s and is now run by Bernard, his grandson, his wife Marlène and son Baptiste. Bernard was a pioneer in the region, switching to organic farming, and the winery was the first certified organic estate in Limoux in 1986. The wines showcase the fantastic depth of Limoux, which has the title of being the first region to make sparkling wines, yet avoids the thoroughfare that is Champagne and keeps to its impressive roots. They stack up against any other bottle of sparkling wine, and are proud to introduce them to our loyal members.

Pairing guide
Elegant and classic, Tradition is a true expression of Blanquette de Limoux, with bright green apple, citrus, and a hint of floral freshness. Its crisp acidity and fine bubbles make it perfect for seafood platters, oysters, and sushi. It’s also excellent with goat cheese tart, grilled asparagus, or a simple roast chicken. For a casual option, pair it with salty crisps or tempura vegetables—this sparkling loves clean, fresh flavours.
