Details
This brilliant Côtes du Rhône is made from 100% Grenache, which is slightly atypical for the AOC. Nonetheless, this is a powerful, stunning wine with lashings of red fruit, lots of grip and vibrancy. Incredibly well made, wearing its 14% alcohol effortlessly. Smooth stuff.

Domaine de la Graveirette is the home of the sensationally talented Julien Mus, who returned to his family Domaine following his winemaking studies in Beaune, Burgundy. The estate can be found just outside of the famous Châteuneuf-du-Pape AOC in the southern Rhône. At the time, his family were selling their fruit to local winemakers or cooperatives, however, armed with a new degree in oenology and a hunger to make his mark on the wine world, Julien decided to start producing wines under his own banner - and boy are we glad that he did. His wines are beautifully balanced and etched, combining power and finesse. We were particularly impressed by his Côtes du Rhône, which is made from 100% Grenache and is a masterclass in richness and elegance and we immediately fell in love. Mus' reputation has risen over the years and he has gained admirers from some of the wine world's top publications. Don't waste any time in grabbing a bottle from Domaine de la Graveirette - thank us later!

Pairing guide
Few classic blends are as comforting or as satisfying as a good Cotes du Rhone wine, and this bottle from Domaine de la Graveirette is like a lingering cuddle in a glass. When it comes to food pairing, you want to match this red with equally rustic and hearty fare - it’s especially good with game meats (boar and venison, especially), and will work well with homemade burgers, beef, lamb or pork stews, and mountains of roasted root vegetables with plenty of aromatic herbs. Provencal dishes like onion soup or ratatouille are never a bad idea, and it’s a great wine for bringing out during a Sunday roast, too.
