Details
This French Chardonnay is filled with sun-ripened peaches, juicy melon, and a touch of orange blossom which sets the scene for this gorgeous wine. With hints of honey, citrus zest and stony minerality, it’s bright yet creamy, making this wine full, fresh and beautifully balanced.

Origin: Burgundy, in eastern France. Mainly Grown In: France, USA, Australia, Italy, Chile, South Africa, Argentina, Spain, NZ… all over, really! Key Facts: Chardonnay is one flexible, sassy grape. It grew up in a place called Burgundy in France, and has travelled to California, Australia, other parts of France, South America... all over the world basically. It can be zesty and fresh in cooler climates, and richer and creamier in warmer ones. It's also one of the few white varieties that performs just as well when treated with oak as it does without. This winemaking change can also affect the body and texture of the wine, leading to a totally different drinking experience. So remember, not all Chardonnays are alike, but we've picked only the best ones for you :) Fun Fact: Chardonnay is a small commune in France, which was formerly known as Cardonnacum — possibly derived from the Latin carduus, or "thistle". So "Chardonnay" actually translates to the "place of thistles".

Wine region
Southern France, France
Also known as the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region in the south of France is one of the largest wine-producing regions in the world. It is known for producing a wide variety of wines, including reds, whites, rosés, and sparkling wines. The region's Mediterranean climate and varied soil types, such as schist and limestone, impart distinct flavours and aromas to the grapes grown there. The area has a long history of winemaking, dating back to the Roman era, and is known for producing high-volume, high-quality wines. The most famous wines from Southern France are typically blends of indigenous grape varieties like Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. The region is a popular destination for wine tourists, offering tastings, tours, and wine festivals.
