Details
The '31Zero41' range from Colli Asolani pulls it out of the bag again with this fabulous pink fizz. The nose boasts enticing, alluring notes of sweet red candied fruits, green strawberry and the slightest suggestion of dried herbs. This is playful and vibrant in the mouth, with a wonderful gummy-bear-red-fruit character, a hedonistic drop of sweetness and a frothy, creamy finish.
Società Agricola Colli Asolani was formed in 1990 by Giovanni Bedin who owned a vine nursery in Veneto, Italy. However, for a better understanding of this producer's history, we need to go back to his grandfather, Giacomo who purchased land in 1948 and planted his vines. Over the decades the family business has been passed from father to son and now lies in the capable hands of Enrico Bedin. Together with his brothers, Luigi, Damiano and Denis, the four have turned Colli Asolani into a modern outfit that is producing some of the best Prosecco around. The estate now owns around 40 hectares of vineyards that cover both DOC and DOCG (Italy's highest mark of quality) sub-regions. Of particular note is the Asolo DOCG, which in 2014 was conveniently named Colli Asolani (from Asolo), a name that the Bedin's winery and their brand now share with this prestigious Prosecco-producing region. Across their range, the Bedins are producing wonderfully clean and fresh examples of declassified 'frizzante' style wines, through to precise Proseccos that range in their style and sweetness. We are delighted to be working with them here at Good Pair Days.

Pairing guide
This elegant and pretty sparkler from Colli Asolani is a real delight to the senses, offering flashes of soft fruit flavours against all those beautiful bubbles. Perfect for pairing with flavourful canapes and antipasti, it’s delicious with charcuterie of almost all kinds, combinations of strong cheeses with dried fruits or buttery pastry, and garlic-slicked prawns or fat, juicy scallops with crumbled black pudding. Fried rice dishes, fritto misto and other tempura-style recipes will also work like a charm.

Wine region

Veneto, Italy
The Veneto wine region is located in the north-east of Italy and is known for producing some of the most distinct wines in Italy. The region has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. The broader region is home to three DOCG and twenty three DOC wine regions and produces iconic wines like Prosecco, Soave and Amarone. The region is the third largest in Italy and accounts for the bulk of Prosecco production in the world.
