Details
This fabulous vegan wine is a breezy, silky red that charms from the first sip - think red cherry, pomegranate, and a flutter of wild herbs. It's light on its feet, juicy, and wonderfully pure, with gentle tannins that make it almost too easy to keep pouring.
Château Vieux Moulin is one of those estates that feels both timeless and quietly rebellious. Set in the sun-soaked Corbières hills of the Languedoc, the domaine has been in the same family for two centuries. When Alexandre They returned from military service and found himself unexpectedly at the helm, he didn’t arrive with grand plans or formal training - just a willingness to learn, to honour his roots, and to trust his instincts. Two decades on, he’s become one of the region’s most compelling voices, known for wines that feel effortlessly alive and deeply tied to their landscape. The estate’s 28 hectares are now fully certified organic, and Alex works with an open mind and a light touch. He champions wild yeasts, low-intervention methods, and a vineyard-first philosophy, but never leans on trends for their own sake. What he bottles is the essence of Corbières: sun, herbs, stone, and freshness. There’s a sense of place in his wines that’s vivid without being showy, and a confidence that comes from letting the grapes speak for themselves.

Pairing guide
“I Love You” is the kind of red that shines with relaxed, flavour-forward dishes - serve it slightly chilled and let it shine. Try it with lemon-and-thyme roast chicken, a tomato galette with black olives, or grilled lamb chops brushed with rosemary and piment d'Espelette. Its bright fruit also pairs beautifully with a simple pasta of cherry tomatoes, garlic, and basil, or a platter of charcuterie and young cheeses. For a knockout vegan pairing, go for roasted aubergine with tahini and pomegranate molasses, or a warm salad of lentils, herbs, and caramelised carrots - the wine’s vibrant cherry-and-pomegranate notes echo the dish’s sweetness and lift every bite.

Wine region

Languedoc, France
The Languedoc wine region is located in the south of France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. It is the largest wine-producing region in France and is known for its wide variety of wine styles, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling. As a younger region, Languedoc has less restrictive wine growing laws making it a virtual oasis for progressive winemakers. As a result, you may find many innovative, even atypical blends in this region, that represent excellent value. Of the numerous varieties available in Languedoc Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Viognier are the stand outs. Top producers are known showcasing the unique character of the Languedoc region, including Mas de Daumas Gassac, Château de Saint-Martin, Mas Jullien, and Château d'Angles. Languedoc, watch this space!
