Details
This is a deliciously fresh, vibrant blend of Grenache Blanc, Rousanne and Colombard complete with attractive notes of honey, lime peel, beeswax and white pepper that leap from the glass. This wine has a lovely, natural weight to the palate, with that grassy, lean Colombard hemming things in beautifully, finishing up with a lovely smoky, flinty accent.
The Château de Nages story begins with Joseph Torres who, in his late 60s purchased the estate located in France's Rhône Valley region. Upon Torres' passing, the estate and all its lands passed down to Alfred Gassier, who ran the business from afar whilst he was stationed in Algeria, before eventually handing down the reins to his son Roger Gassier, this is where the rejuvenation of the Gassier estate really started. Nowadays Michel Gassier & Isabel Gassier run the show, inheriting a wealth of quality vineyards and holdings which Roger revolutionised. The pair have converted to organic viticulture, with Isabel taking things a step further; the 4th generation vigneron working toward greater biodiversity in all of the Gassier's vineyards. Speaking of, the vineyards are planted with typical Rhône grapes such as Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, as well as Grenache Blanc, Rousanne and the ever-reliable Colombard on the white side of the spectrum.

Pairing guide
Who could resist the flavourful charm of this beautiful Grenache Blanc blend? It's the kind of wine we love to pair with heartier fish like hake, cod and swordfish, risotto with mountains of soft green herbs and green vegetables like asparagus, peas and beans. Rustic chicken casseroles will also work well, as will pasta classics like carbonara.
