Details
This is a classic Provence wine with a lovely tart freshness and some redcurrant tones. Look for white peach and cranberry across the nose, and a dainty body that is clean and pure. Delicate is perhaps one of the best words we can use to describe this wine; it is elegant and mineral... it's up there with the best!
Owner Charles S. Cohen has, shall we say something of an obsession with French culture (and wine) - he is a self-confessed Francophile, if you like. On top of making delicious wine, he was also the most important distributor of French language art-house films in the USA. Charles had a lifelong ambition to own and manage his own vineyard and produce exceptional French wines. He and his wife, Clo, have a particular admiration for the wines and rolling hills of Provence, so much so that they recently bought Château de Chausse and are developing an ambitious and exciting project there which we are keeping a close eye on. This estate is a stones throw from Saint-Tropez with 135 acres of stunning land. 35 of those hectares are under vine and committed to meticulous, high quality viticulture in order to produce wines of purity and excellence that can rub shoulders with the best Provençal rosès that the region has to offer.

Pairing guide
This stunning French rosé from Château de Chausse is the ideal choice for a lazy, relaxed sunny afternoon tipple, and is going to pair perfectly with all of your favourite al fresco dishes. Capable of standing up to punchy flavours such as bacon, harissa-spiked salmon and chicken, tomato sauces, and herby sausages, and yet with enough subtlety to harmonise with a leafy salad or homemade quiche. Who could ask for more?

Wine region

Provence, France
Provence is a wine region in southeastern France best known for its delicious rosé wines and beautiful beaches. It's also home to a number of protected wine appellations, such as the Côtes de Provence AOC and the Bandol AOC, which produce some of the best rosé wines in the world. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, this region has a warm and sunny climate, with long, hot summers and mild, wet winters. The landscape is filled with rolling hills, and picturesque villages on a gorgeous coastline, making it a holiday hub for many - sand in your toes, and rosé on the beach, anyone? But if rosé isn't your thing, the region also produces white and red wines, predominantly made from a variety of grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, Provence has something for everyone.
