Details
The Central Valley is a great place to grow Pinot Noir, and Chile is certainly winning the hearts of Pinot lovers across the world. This is a vibrant expression with berries and cherries a plenty and some lovely savoury spice to end the chapter.

Les Grands Chais is a company that is based in France although they have arms that spread across the modern world with wineries in operation in Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina as well as mainland Europe. Their approach is to source exceptional fruit and make modern styles of wines that will be well received. The Good Pair Days wine team were impressed with their Chilean brands, Casa Bollén and Viña Las Niñas as well as the sparkling wines from Baron D’Arignac. On first visiting Les Grands Chais, apart from being overawed with the amount of wines at our fingertips, the team found the wines to be made with a strong focus on quality and showcasing regionality in each bottle. They each have their own story to tell and whether you are a fan of classical styles or discovering something new, they have you covered. We are excited to bring these wines to British shores for the first time.

Pairing guide
If you’re on the hunt for a food-friendly red wine that’s perfect for a celebration dinner, then this Pinot Noir definitely ticks all the right boxes. We reckon it’s a top match for festive roast duck dishes, rack of lamb with minted potatoes and gravy, roast poultry dishes and joints of ham or gammon, and it’s also going to be superb with veggie alternatives like nut roast, mushroom wellington, and butternut squash loaf, too. Beef, lamb, chicken or pork stews and casseroles, whole sides of roast salmon with red peppers and tomatoes, and anything with mushrooms and herbs like rosemary and thyme will also be excellent.
