Details
This is a stunning crisp, coastal Sauvignon Blanc blend that also comprises three indigenous Portuguese grape varieties Viosinho, Alvarinho and Arinto. There is an unmistakable grassy Sauvignon Blanc tone shining through layers of ripe citrus fruit and salinity. This beauty is crisp and fresh, with a lovely lemon rind bitterness on the finish.
Adegamãe resides in the Lisboa (Lisbon) region of Portugal. This is an area that whilst being best known as the capital of the nation, is increasingly becoming more and more popular and associated with high-quality wine production. The estate was founded by the Alves family and many of Adegamãe's vineyards can be found within perfect proximity to the Atlantic. The cooling influence of the Ocean plays a pivotal role and cooling influence through the warm summer months, helping to strike the perfect balance between ripeness and freshness in their grapes. Adegamãe boasts a rich and diverse portfolio as they use the geography of Lisboa to their advantage. Their white grapes are planted closest to the sea, often giving them a mineral, saline accent. Their reds are planted in warmer sites inland, and it is playing with this proximity to the coast that has allowed them to work with a multitude of grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc as well as Touriga's Franca and Nacional, with the latter naturally more at home in Portugal.

Pairing guide
Adegamãe has raised the bar with this delightful Sauvignon Blanc blend, which brings those peerless white grapes out to play with select other varieties, bringing out the best of all possible words. As for pairing, you’ll want to match this up with the white fish of all kinds - sole, bream, and monkfish will pair especially well, and we can see it working nicely with more robust examples like hake and cod, too. Green salads, green vegetables, green pesto - all the greens will work beautifully with this wine, and it’s going to be great with grilled chicken creations and roast poultry dinners.
