Pairing guide
There’s no getting away from the fact that, when it comes to light lunches shared with friends, we’ll never say no to another glass of sparkling rosé! This glorious bottle from Adega Ponte de Barca is a real joy of a fizzy wine, and it’s great for pairing with charcuterie boards and ham and cheese recipes, pasta dishes featuring prosciutto and roast red peppers, sweet-and-salty creations like prunes stuffed with goat’s cheese, and all kinds of southern fried (or Korean fried) chicken dishes. Seafood like prawns and scallops with parma ham are an absolute must-try, and we also loved it with smoked salmon canapes, too.

Wine region

Vinho Verde, Portugal
Vinho Verde is a wine region located in the Minho province of Portugal, known for producing light and refreshing wines that are perfect for warm weather. The region's name, which means "green wine," refers to the young age of the wines, which are typically consumed within a year of their production. The wines are typically made from indigenous grape varieties, such as Alvarinho and Loureiro, and are characterised by their low alcohol content, high acidity, and slight effervescence. There is a fascinating tradition of having the vines climb up high so you can pick the grapes while standing however this has mostly faded out now.
