Sparkling Wines of the World
Mascorrubí Heretat 'Ancestral Montonega'
White Pet Nat from Spain. Tucked into the undulating hills of Alt Camp, a quiet subregion of Catalunya, Mascorrubí Heretat is a small family-run estate dedicated to reviving the old ways — both in grape growing and winemaking. The estate has been in the Mascorrubí family for generations, and today it's run with a firm belief in biodynamic farming, indigenous varieties, and minimal intervention winemaking. This is sunshine in a bottle — lightly cloudy, gently fizzy, and packed with citrusy charm. Expect notes of green apple, lemon sherbet, wildflowers, and a touch of fresh bread dough from the bottle ferment. The bubbles are soft and playful, giving just the right amount of sparkle. Dry, zesty, and slightly wild, it’s the kind of wine that turns an ordinary afternoon into a garden party.
Huella ‘Grand Cuvée’ Sparkling Brut 2024
Premium sparkling wine from Chile. Viña Indómita is located in the heart of Chile wine country, with their winery located in the wine region of Casablanca as well as owning vineyards in the Central Valley region of Maipo. Casablanca is located in between Valparaiso and Santiago with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, where you will find plenty of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir planted in this maritime dream. The Central Valley, by comparison, is a garden of Eden, with fertile soils perfect for producing a wide range of fruit and vegetables to feed the nation as well as supplying plenty of land ideal for vineyards. The ‘Grand Cuvée’ is less of your party fizz and more of a fizz to enjoy with a gastronomic experience. There is a complex dimension to this wine with brioche, lemon and peach notes along with some lemon biscuit and a concentrated, soft bead.
Quinta do Casal Branco 'Monge' NV
Premium sparkling from Portugal. Quinta do Casal Branco is a brand new addition for us here at Good Pair Days and an impressive producer discovered back in 2023 during a trip out to Portugal in search of vinous gold. Impressed by the wines from the Tejo region - a true up-and-coming part of the country - this is the land of the Fernão Pires and Castelão grapes, both of which are indigenous to the region. This is a fine sparkling wine from the Tejo, and a fantastic answer to Cava or Champagne. Classically structured with notes of almond and candied citrus character overlaps with toast and brioche.
