Vegan Friendly Trio
La Boidina 'Armonia' Chardonnay 2024
La Boidina is shaking things up in Piedmont’s wine scene, blending old-school winemaking with a fresh, modern twist. Based in Monferrato, Gavi, and the Tortona Hills, this dynamic winery is all about crafting wines that truly capture the essence of their terroir—without the stuffy traditions. We are fans of Chardonnay from this part of the world. This is delightful, with a lovely cool ferment character and some creaminess in the mid-palate. It's round, with a touch of honey on the finish.
Portas Da Luz Rosé 2024
Nestled in the sun-drenched rolling vineyards of Portugal, Casa Santos Lima has been a beacon of winemaking tradition for decades. This family-owned winery, dating back several generations, has perfected the craft of producing tantalising wines that embody the land's rich terroir. A soft sunset in a glass, this pale orange-pink rosé brings honeydew, mango, and a hint of banana creaminess on the nose. There’s a citrusy lift - lemon peel, orange zest - and a flicker of whitecurrant and florals to keep it fresh. Super juicy, super easy - this rosé totally earns its spot on the table.
Bodegas Aessir Bobal 2019
Bodegas Aessir is all about crafting top-notch wines with a strong sense of place. Based in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Barcelona—Cava country—they kicked things off in 1929 by breathing new life into a historic cellar and focusing on native grape varieties. Their Cava Star La Crusset Brut Nature Reserva has racked up plenty of international praise, proving that they know their bubbles. This is a wine that displays plenty of funk and intrigue. The nose is lifted, with notes of tar, smoke and charcoal. There is an attractive, wild accent to this wine, with stiff tannins and good freshness. It's one of the more interesting Bobal's you will find.
