This family-owned winery, dating back several generations, has perfected the craft of producing tantalising wines that embody the land's rich terroir. A soft sunset in a glass, this pale orange-pink rosé brings honeydew, mango, and a hint of banana creaminess on the nose. Bodegas Aessir is all about crafting top-notch wines with a strong sense of place. Based in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Barcelona—Cava country—they kicked things off in 1929 by breathing new life into a historic cellar and focusing on native grape varieties. Their Cava Star La Crusset Brut Nature Reserva has racked up plenty of international praise, proving that they know their bubbles. This is a wine that displays plenty of funk and intrigue. The nose is lifted, with notes of tar, smoke and charcoal. There is an attractive, wild accent to this wine, with stiff tannins and good freshness. It's one of the more interesting Bobal's you will find.
