Story
Nestled in the seaside town of Llandudno on the North Wales coast, Wild Horse Brewing Co first galloped onto the craft‑beer scene in 2015. Founded by the husband‑and‑wife team of Dave and Emma Faragher, this independent brewery draws inspiration from the North American craft beer wave and the very wild ponies roaming nearby Conwy’s mountains.
Their beer range is fun, modern and flavour‑driven: expect crisp, unfiltered, vegan‑friendly brews focusing on hop‑forward hazy IPAs and pale ales, alongside a pilsner‑style lager called 'Buckskin'.
From their core staples to seasonal small batches, the line-up is as dynamic as the Welsh coast itself. At the heart of the brewery lies their taproom and kitchen, opened in 2024 next door to the production facility.
Guests can sample up to ten fresh pints on tap, enjoy artisan pizza, rotating street‑food vendors and a warm, inclusive atmosphere that champions local Welsh producers. From a small half‑barrel setup in early days to a fully established craft hub, Wild Horse Brewing Co is unmistakably rooted in place, passion and good beer.
Our next pick from Wild Horse Brewing is 'Nokota', a highly drinkable session beer bursting with waves of tropical fruit and zesty citrus, finishing balanced and deliciously moreish. Inspired by the breath-taking landscapes of North Wales, Wild Horse craft beers with flavour and drinkability at the heart of every pint, and 'Nokota' is another cracker that delivers exactly that.

PAIRING GUIDE
Great things are clearly going on in the North Wales craft ale scene, as this session IPA is an absolutely gorgeous creation from Llandudno brewery Wild Horse. Crisp, bright and beautifully hoppy, it’s a stunning beer to pair with hearty homemade dishes packing a deeply savoury or salty punch. We loved it with dishes featuring tahini, mushrooms and other umami-bomb flavours, but it’s also excellent with spicy curries, simple pasta dishes, deep fried treats like samosas or fish goujons, and all kinds of roast white or red meats.
