Story
True Story Brewing Co. in Westbury is the kind of pint‑poured passion project that sparks conversations and laughter from the first sip. Founded in lockdown by beer aficionados Ben Hancock and Will, they transformed idle hours into a nano‑brewery dream, officially launching in spring 2022. Their mission? To brew intensely flavourful, experimental craft beers and boy, do they deliver!
The taproom, nestled in an industrial unit at Curtis Centre, brings the buzz of community to Saturdays all summer long. It’s more than a bar; it’s a mini‑festival with eight taps, pub games, table tennis, cornhole, smash burgers and a crowd that’s as vibrant as the latest hazy-IPA on pour
True Story’s range reads like a hop‑heavy adventure: from fruited sours and goses to DIPAs, NEIPAs and crisp lagers. Each brew’s packaging is a story in itself, quirky illustrations and back‑of‑can anecdotes born from real escapades.
With founders obsessed over perfection, a lively taproom buzzing with banter, and a wild range of beers that each tell a tale, True Story Brewing Co. is British brewing at its most entertaining, one delicious, dramatic sip at a time.
This month features one of their standout seasonal brews 'Solstice'. This is a zesty, refreshing pale ale brewed to celebrate the longest days of the year. Bursting with citrus and stone fruit notes, it’s sunshine in a can, crushable, bright, and brewed for a summer garden party!

This stunning IPA is packed with character, and is ideal for sipping on a sunny afternoon. We found it the ideal pairing partner for Mediterranean fish dishes, but it’s also excellent with pasta classics like puttanesca and arrabbiata. Chicken and vegetable stew, breaded or battered white fish, chicken and leek combos, Wiener schnitzel and cheese and onion pies will also provide memorable combos to explore.
