Story

QuiQuiRiQui was founded in 2011 by Tom Bullock, a British entrepreneur with a deep passion for Mexico’s rich mezcal traditions. Driven by a desire to share the authentic taste of artisanal mezcal with the world, Tom set out to create a brand that honours the spirit’s heritage while making it accessible to a broader audience.

QuiQuiRiQui specializes in producing small-batch, handcrafted mezcals from Oaxaca that showcase the distinct flavours of agave varieties such as Espadín and Tobalá. Each bottle reflects a commitment to traditional methods, using only the finest agave plants, slow-roasting them in earthen pits, and distilling them in copper stills to capture the wild, smoky essence that defines great mezcal.

These are authentic expressions of a timeless spirit, capturing the heart and sol of the Mexican countryside!

Mezcal is renowned for being the ideal pairing partner for authentic Mexican cuisine, but we reckon it’s just as good with the Tex-Mex flavours from across the border, too. Black bean salads, mole chicken, pork or fish tacos and fajitas will be excellent here, and it’s a seriously satisfying partner for all kinds of cheese, too. Those with a sweeter tooth will love this one with dark chocolate desserts, especially those with dried fruits, ginger or coffee.
