Story

Harbour Brewing Co. is one of Cornwall’s most exciting and innovative breweries, founded in 2012 by Eddie Lofthouse and Rhys Powell with a shared love of surfing, fresh beer, and bold flavours. Set against the stunning backdrop of the North Cornish coast, Harbour was born from the idea of creating world-class beer that reflects the lifestyle and character of its rugged surroundings.

The brewery is nestled in the heart of Bodmin and houses a state-of-the-art brewhouse, where Harbour crafts a diverse range of beers, from crisp, hop-forward pale ales and IPAs to rich, complex barrel-aged stouts and sours. Harbour has earned a stellar reputation for blending traditional techniques with progressive brewing, often experimenting with local ingredients and wild yeasts.

A must-visit for beer lovers, the Harbour Taproom in Newquay offers freshly poured pints, limited releases, and unbeatable sea views. It’s a laid-back hub of surf culture, sunshine, and seriously good beer. Whether you’re a casual sipper or a craft connoisseur, Harbour Brewing Co. delivers coastal vibes in every glass, fun, fresh, and always full of flavour.

It wouldn't be summer without a 'Beach Party' right? Our next inclusion from Harbour is their 3.4% 'gluten free' hero. This juicy pale ale bursts with tropical fruit, citrus, and a refreshing hop kick. Light, crushable, and brewed for sunshine, it’s your perfect companion from surf to sundown.

PAIRING GUIDE

The team at Harbour Brewery certainly know how to bring the summer vibes to their fantastic craft ales, and this one is absolutely bursting with ripe tropical fruit flavours - it’s a proper party on the palate! All that character and juiciness makes it brilliant with spicy Asian cuisine, and it pairs particularly well with Indian vegetarian curries with mango chutney, massaman beef dishes, sweet and sour chicken or pork, and all kinds of Thai noodle and rice classics. Halibut with mango, lemon chicken and scallops with a zesty glaze will also work very well indeed.
