Story
Albourne Winery is situated in the rolling hills of Sussex and is the closest winery to Brighton. It's a delightful spot for wine enthusiasts looking to explore the exciting world of English wine. This small, family-run winery has made a name for itself by producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the South Downs.
Founded by Alison Nightingale, Albourne Winery is all about precision and passion. With just 30 acres of vineyards, it’s a boutique operation where every vine gets the attention it deserves. The winemaking philosophy here is rooted in a blend of traditional methods and modern innovation. Alison and her team focus on precise, clinical winemaking, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to shine through, while also embracing new techniques to enhance quality and flavour.
A cool fact: Throughout the summertime Albourne put on a range of events from supper clubs to Friday popup nights, inviting local food vendors to pitch up and serve hungry guests whilst you sip down a glass or three of Albourne's delicious wine!
A classic vermouth comprising '40' different aromatics and botanicals steeped in wine! Made by Alison's assistant winemaker (who conveniently happens to be Italian), this is a lovely vermouth with complexity and bitterness perfectly balanced.

PAIRING GUIDE
We love a good glass of Vermouth - there’s something about this fortified wine, which packs in mountains of character and distinction via a complex array of botanicals - that never fails to get us feeling utterly satisfied! This Vermouth is going to be especially good with caramelised vegetable dishes; something like roast cauliflower, honey-glazed parsnips or carrots cooked with a splash of maple syrup will work especially well. Cheese-based recipes are never a bad idea with this one, and it’s also an absolute winner with all your favourite salty charcuterie items.
