Details
Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are the perfect duo, Savvy B is the youthful spark giving some tropical lift and plenty of punch, while Semillon is the classy dame, who brings some elegance with notes of citrus and a nice, subtle amount of hay and other complexities. The Love & Valour SBS is a great example of this match made in heaven.
Against strong opinions, including within his own family; independent winemaker Peter Logan, deviated from the usual winemaker script, choosing the then unfamiliar NSW Central Ranges as a base. He planted and worked with Tempranillo, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer when few people would, adorning playful labels to match the whimsy of Logan wines. Inspired by wines of the world, Peter's winemaking is quirky but without artifice – he ferments grapes naturally, with white grapes on their skins, often using large format oak, and as a sustainable initiative, he even sells wine in kegs on occasion. Fruit is sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards in Mudgee and Orange, which are some of the highest vines in the country. Here the soils are deep rich volcanic, producing fruit with very high flavour concentration, acid balance and colour. The average age of the Chardonnay vineyard alone are between 18-45 years old. Love and Valour, by the way, is an offshoot of Logan's wines and is usually only available on the premise. So yes, you are a bit special for having access to these gorgeous wines. You’ll love ‘em!

Pairing guide
The classic SBS blend is one of Australia’s many great gifts to the world of wine, and this beautiful bottle from Love & Valour is a stunning example of what it does best. When it comes to food pairing, we love this wine with simple white fish dishes, seafood favourites like calamari, salt and pepper squid and mussels in cream and wine sauce, and barbecued snapper with a citrus dressing. Chicken salads, roast turkey, green vegetable dishes and spicy tofu will also hit the spot perfectly!
